The term “networking” conjures a variety of emotions. Be confident in your ability to connect and learn from others. Understand how to identify people, places, and resources that support your ambitions. This session discusses the do’s and don’ts of networking. Learn how to effectively leverage your involvement in community service and/or extracurricular activities to expand your communities of support.
Objectives:
• Identify your interests and aspirations
• Understand networking do’s and don’ts
• Develop effective listening skill
• Develop strategy and skill in introducing yourself and asking questions
• Develop a proactive plan to engage with individuals and groups in ways that are easy and fun
Audience:
Young adults, small business owners, supervisors, or other mentors
Duration:
1 to 1.5 hours based on venue and time availability
