Develop practical strategies for interpersonal communications with effective means to assist individuals with dementia in performing ADL’s (activities of daily living). Gain greater understanding of challenging behaviors with strategies to address and accommodate individual needs.
Objectives:
· Identify accommodations and strategies to effectively communicate with persons living with dementia.
· Increase knowledge and ability to respond to challenging behaviors.
· Increase knowledge and ability to assist with activities of daily living.
· Expand knowledge and skill in addressing family dynamics and building a support team.
